What difference will you make as a Risk Analyst at our client?

As a Risk Analyst, you will be part of the Financial & Insurance
Risk Management team responsible for managing the risks inherent in our
client's insurance business. As an insurance expert with talent for calculating
and assessing financial movements, you analyze trends in developments in
customer behavior, financial markets and quantify the consequences.

In your role, you will review our client's key financial data and make
suggestions for improvements to the team. The team of 30 employees shares
expertise in asset valuation, Solvency II & IFRS reporting, cash flow
modeling and assumption setting.

As a senior analyst you not only work on your own success, but also on
that of your colleagues. For example, you share your expertise with others and
encourage the growth and development of the people you work with.
You optimize the risk profile on the two sides of the balance sheet. You
do this by assessing the effect of various strategic and tactical investment
portfolios from a risk / return perspective, and by the value creation of the
life insurance obligations that our client has and plans to sell.
You will work closely with senior management and report to them on
financial movements, strategic developments and growth opportunities.
You keep a close eye on the regulations and standards in the industry
(in particular Solvency II, IFRS, Belgian GAAP, etc.). Your advice on the
impact they may have on our business will be used to guide further refinements
in the team and in business strategy.
To achieve this, you are responsible for the coordination and
centralization of the inputs & calculations of different team members and
departments and you ensure that the impact of strategic discussions and / or
(external) events is clearly reflected in the key financial indicators uses
senior management for its decision-making.
Your skills to turn available data into meaningful and interactive
reports will be constantly tested. You always think of the following insight
and the structuring of your analysis so that they can be easily “torn out” to
provide additional clarification.
