What challenges await our new Risk Professional
here?
The most important aspects of your new position at our client concern
the refinement of models so that we are ready for IFRS 17 that is
coming. After the adoption of that new accounting standard, accurate
forecasting of future events and their financial impact will become even more
important. If you are interested in how our client can use this information
strategically, then this job is right for you.

In your position as a Risk Professional you will:
·
Provide support in analyzing the profitability and
risk of the insurance portfolio, by establishing and developing cash flow
models and the assumptions used for all valuation exercises
(' embedded value ', economic capital, value of new business).
·
Bringing forth clear and strong insights based on
the results of the models and, most importantly, assisting senior management in
understanding and mitigating the underlying modeling risk associated with the
results obtained.
·
Provide accurate documentation on new developments
and help keep existing documentation packages up to date.
·
Actively participate in technical committees on
modeling insurance liabilities and technical life insurance risks.
Requirements

What do we expect from our new colleague?
·
a university degree (minimum master) in a
quantitatively oriented field (e.g. actuarial science, mathematics, physics,
engineering sciences, economics).
·
at least five years of relevant work
experience in risk management.
·
thorough knowledge and understanding of the
different types of life insurance products.
·
experience with actuarial modeling
software; knowledge of R³S (AFM) is an extra asset.
·
needless to add that being able to analyze
data quickly is an absolute must ( Pyton / R).
·
you are analytical, eager to learn and able to
work accurately and confidently.
