Parkwind is continuously looking for motivated employees who want to grow and develop together with the company. For the development of our future offshore wind farms, we are currently looking for a passionate wind turbine (WTG) package manager.

Your role:

As a WTG package manager, you will develop and build utility-sized offshore wind farms in Europe and beyond as part of a core project team. Within the project team, you lead and manage the scope of the wind turbine package, which consist of:

  • Mapping out tender strategies and organize tenders for Turbine Supply and Turbine Maintenance Contracts
  • Coordinating and Leading contract negotiations with turbine suppliers and vessel owners for key contracts within the project.
  • Identifying and managing the interfaces between the WTG package and other packages of the project
  • Contributing to building financially strong business cases for offshore wind farms and helping to bring the projects to financial close.
  • Identifying human resource needs from other departments for the execution of the WTG project scope
  • Managing, in close cooperation with the relevant Parkwind departments, the resolution of any technical, commercial, contractual, or legal matter related to the wind turbine package.
  • Ensuring and Enforcing compliance with Parkwind Employer Requirements, processes, policies and philosophy
  • Proactively identifying, quantifying and managing project risks
  • Securing the implementation of Lessons Learned, taking the lead in capturing new Lessons Learned and ensuring cross-package cooperation and knowledge sharing
  • Seek and strive for continuous improvement, including cross-packages optimization
  • Being proactive on Safety and Quality and taking initiatives to secure and increase the Safety and Quality standards within the internal and external activities
  • Actively participating in project Management Team Meetings and providing input to the monthly Board Meetings
  • Maintaining a good and strong working relationship with the WTG contractor and the contractors’ project team
  • Acting as the formal commercial interface towards various contractors
  • Closing out of the project and ensuring a smooth handover to the Operations & Maintenance department

Your profile:

  • Master’s Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering)
  • 5 years’ experience in project management of utility-scale projects.
    Experience in offshore wind energy is a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing contracts for utility-scale projects
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and contractors
  • Quality and Safety mindset with knowledge of QHSSE legislation associated with construction projects
  • Fluent knowledge of English, written and spoken (other languages are a plus)
  • You are a motivated team player, diligent and possess a high integrity
  • You are able to combine theory with practice
  • You are pro-active and have a problem-solving attitude
  • You are able to manage your own workload and meet demanding timelines
  • You are able to travel regularly (within and outside Europe)
  • Being open to expatriation is a plus
