Role description

Forage is looking for a results-oriented Writer responsible for creating and optimizing best-in-class professional development and career advice content.  

This candidate has strong writing, research and reporting skills, an engaging voice and a collaborative mindset. They are a self-starter who learns quickly and will thrive at a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities 

Research, report and write credible and actionable career-related guides, articles and other editorial content for Forage’s website and distribution channels

Refresh, optimize and edit existing content to align with Forage’s editorial standards, SEO best practices and engagement goals 

Actively cultivate sources, monitor trends and develop subject matter expertise in the career-building and jobs space

Work closely with team leads to understand and execute on content strategy

Publish new and updated content within our CMS; optimize tags, categories, metadata, images

Your Experience

Previous experience writing/editing 

Familiarity with or strong will to learn SEO concepts and best practices as they pertain to content creation

Ability to produce multiple articles each week, balancing a mix of short-term, medium-term and long-term deadlines

Openness to collaborate with other writers, editors and, where applicable, cross-team stakeholders 

Passionate about or interested in helping students of all backgrounds build vital job-search and career skills 

Experience with content management systems a plus
