Job Summary
The Type Training Instructor is part of the PART-147 Training Organization and reports directly to the Training Manager. He/she is responsible for instructing Type trainings on regular basis for the helicopter types H145 D2/D3 & Dauphin N3. The initial development of Type training course(s) and examination question bank has been done, but regular reviews & implementing improvements are part of this job.
Respons. & areas
TYPE training INSTRUCTOR & EXAMINATOR
- Instructor for Type training on types H145 D2/D3 & Dauphin N3, both theoretical & practical. Other types possible in the future.
- Organize examinations (theory) and assessments (practical) iaw PART-147 procedures.
- Expected +/- 4 Type courses of 6 weeks duration per year. Will be scheduled at least 2-3 months ahead to allow proper holiday planning.
- Ostend where these courses are organized, is the principal location of employment.
- In between the scheduled Type trainings, you will support further technical training needs within the PART-145 organization. Both development & instructing at several NHV locations.
Development of training & examination & material
- Recurrent updating of Type training material and examination question databank, based on a training need analysis.
- Improve the methods to provide theoretical course in blended (e-)learning methods.
- Develop from the existing full Type course smaller difference courses between B1.3 & B2 categories, 1 week Type familiarization courses, technical refresher courses, etc…
Experience
- Teacher degree or relevant teaching experience is a plus.
- EASA PART-66 license with relevant Type rating is a plus, especially for the practical Type training & assessment. Missing Type training could be provided by NHV inhouse.
Skills
- Technical and practical working knowledge of at least one helicopter type. In depth knowledge of one of the considered types is an important plus.
- Good computer knowledge including use of Word and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills in front of a classroom.
- Good communication skills through digital platforms such as Teams.
- Good general multimedia skills to develop high level blended learning modules.
- Good working knowledge of technical English (writing/reading/speaking) as English will be the main language of all courses.
