Tech Lead - DESelect - Anvers

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead the architecture/design and implementation of a new, very innovative project (that’s in the process of receiving Vlaio funding). We’re starting the build of this new project from scratch, and it will be a standalone application running on a new platform, different from our other applications.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the CTO/cofounder and Head of Engineering to architect this solution
• Be the team lead for 2 junior/mid-level engineers (incl. Reviewing of work of the others)
• Program the application yourself
• Provide innovative problem-solving ideas for this new application

Requirements

• 3+ years of Python development experience
• 7+ years of experience as an Engineer
• Previous experience as a Lead of a development team, where you’ve coached a few other developers
• One of the main challenges for this application will be the requirement to process massive amounts of data quickly. We’re talking about 10’s of millions of records that need processing a day. We’re looking at Google Cloud technologies to help support this ** Experience with handling large volumes of data and Google Cloud would be huge plusses.
• The application will have to make decisions that could be powered by machine learning. Knowledge of the (explainable) machine learning / AI space would be a huge plus.
• Willing to work 2 days/week hybrid from our Antwerp office
