In this challenging position you will be responsible for managing the operations of a very small team focused on the complete, accurate, and timely completion of HR transactions for several service lines – however, mainly focusing on Payroll and Compensation & Benefits (Belgium & Lux-embourg).

In your position, you will drive / coordinate the operations in your team from an over-all perspective, but mainly take care on the Payroll run and support the daily operations around the payroll run.

  • Supervise the team and ensure HR processes are delivered in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with standard process flows and according to agreed service levels
  • Act as subject matter expert (Payroll and Compensation & Benefits ) and work on a daily ba-sis on complex issues or cases which are escalated for resolution by the Team, HR Business Partners or the business
  • Take direct responsibility for monthly payroll closing and the contract management with the payroll providers
  • Monitor accuracy of transaction processing and quality of data
  • Oversee analysis of HR transactions and highlights discrepancies/anomalies for correction
  • Identify and initiate the implementation of best practices and process improvements to in-crease efficiency and drive productivity gains
  • Work with customers and stakeholders to improve understanding, cooperation and perfor-mance. Ensures a positive working relationship within the team and with external customers by measuring customer/ employee satisfaction and building on results
  • Deliver HR Service support to the HR community, line managers and employees, showing a customer service mind-set and a proactive way of working to serve customers with a “can do” attitude
  • Manage selection, development, performance and organization of the team and appropriate-ly allocate work and assignments to individual team members
  • Supporting the team / working with the team on an operational level and support the daily business

Profil

  • Professional background of more than 5 years in Compensation & Benefits, ideally for white-collar employees
  • Strong experience in HR administration running the payroll in Belgium
  • Experience in designing, maintaining and executing HR operation processes
  • Experience in leading successful teams and cross functional projects in a multinational envi-ronment
  • Strong experience working in HR in the Belgium legislation
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Strong communication skills and experience in maintaining ongoing effective communica-tion to a diverse audience
  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to build partnerships on all levels of the organization
  • Able to learn quick and adapt. You learn by experience and by the voice of the customer and continuously iterates the approach and the solution
