Stage Actuaris Trading & Counterparty Risk

You will be part of the team that supports KBC Group's dealing room activities. You will gain insight into the dynamics, challenges and - of course - risks of dealing room activities. It's an exciting environment where regulations, products and business activities change rapidly.
Your colleagues will design, develop, (co)-create and implement solutions intended for the Chief Risk Officer, traders, various committees, regulators, and both internal and external auditors.
The team you can be a part of has a wide range of responsibilities and plays an important role in the activities of KBC Group, for example:

• We are the central point for risk calculations and develop reporting processes about them
• We implement legal obligations concerning risk measures
• We are the bridge between the risk department and ICT
• We support colleagues from the dealing room in monitoring and analyzing risk results
• We work on projects to develop an integrated architecture for market and counterparty risks and are involved in projects run by other parties.

During your internship you will ...

• work closely with colleagues from different teams and gather information from different stakeholders such as your colleagues from the business side (Market Risk as well as Counterparty Risk) and trading services.
• strengthen your communication skills so that you can easily explain your findings to a varied audience, including our management.
• Be in close contact with your ICT colleagues who are part of the same team. You can translate needs to them and guide them in their software development.
• Sharpen your mathematical and analytical skills and learn to gather and challenge information. We participate in benchmark exercises and stress testing. You will actively participate and report your findings to our management.
