BlueCAP, our Cloud Application Platform, separates applications from their underlying infrastructure, regardless of whether they're on-premises or cloud-based. A strongly integrated and automated hosting platform, BlueCAP is a natural fit for applications that are designed with modern micro-service architecture. As the software engineer in our team, you work on this platform with a cloud-native development mindset.

You are joining a team of fifty professionals who support the Data Quality Management department and support Risk, Credit Risk, Treasury and Finance. All these departments manage risks, and are responsible for internal and external reporting on these risks. They also manage KBC's portfolio on a group level. What's your focus within this team? Innovation.

There's a reason our team is a great place to work. Data quality management has become increasingly important in recent years and is proving to be one of the most interesting domains in the financial sector. The Data Quality Management team is at the core of KBC's data-driven strategy. Are you ready to be part of it?

Description de la fonction

  • You make sure that our applications are always up and running. You run bug fixes and contact users via Yammer.
  • You develop new features in sprints. We take an agile approach to our work, using Jira.
  • You're committed to quality. The way you see it, a feature is only 'done' if there is a test case and clear documentation to go with it. We don't just improve our software, but also the way in which we develop it. For this, we count on your experience, your expertise and your ability to look at things with fresh eyes.
  • You request and perform ad hoc code reviews, both during the implementation period and when you're setting your implementation strategy. As a team, this keeps us up to date with each other's work and helps us to learn from each other.
  • You work with:
    • Java & the Spring framework;
    • JavaScript;
    • Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes;
    • a fully automated build-and-deploy pipeline;
    • Git;
    • Kibana (for log analyses);
    • Prometheus (for automated alert management);
    • data quality tools like JoMoTo, Irma and DQbot.
