Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a great Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who will be responsible for keeping all our production systems running smoothly and in line with our Service Level Agreements. 

You’ll be a key member of the engineering and operations team working closely with our Tech Lead and Ops Lead to bring operational discipline and mature automation to our environments and codebase.

<br/><br/> About your role as our new Site Reliability Engineer:

You’ll focus primarily on improving the delivery of our services to our partners by improving the release management tooling and processes and automating every operational aspect of our API lifecycle.

We expect our first SRE will have the following skills and experience:

• 4+ years of commercial experience working with production-grade software.

• We’re looking for someone who has set up the Site Reliability / SR functions and practices in the team - this role is less about log checking and monitoring and more about the overall set-up, maintenance and improvement of Site Reliability functions.

• Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

• Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high-level languages, preferably Python or Javascript.

• Experience working with dynamic resource management frameworks (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn).

• Experience with cloud-based providers such as AWS, GCP or Azure.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization.

• Proven ability to work well and thrive in working remotely.
