SGS Life Sciences carries out all type of services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, from coordination and running of clinical trials with new molecules or techniques on human beings, to support and consultancy on post marketing registration activities. SGS Life Sciences has also expertise in the quality control of pharmaceuticals.

At our Clinical Pharmacology Unit, located at UZA Edegem, we are currently looking for a Site Quality Manager. 

Job Description

The Site Quality Management (SQM) focusses on the management of the quality (system) within CPU and Patient Sites, and guides and supports the Site staff with regards to all aspects of quality. In addition, the SQM will encourage and facilitate internal and cross-functional discussions and efficiency exercises to increase consistency in the way of working throughout the CPU/Patient Site organization. 

As a Site Quality Manager, you will collaborate closely with the CPU functional area Heads, Data Quality group, the Operational Quality Managers (CRO) and the QA Quality Compliance Managers.

Your main responsibility is to guide the CPU and Patient Sites through the requirements of the quality management system, and to act as the first point of contact for any kind of support regarding any aspect of quality.

This implies that you:

  • develop and maintain quality and personnel documents
  • propose changes to quality documents on an ongoing basis in order to improve the quality system
  • initiate process improvements / efficiencies as required
  • monitor quality by following up on timely training of new or revised quality documents
  • guide the CPU/patient site teams through the CAPA process by assisting in risk assessment, Root Cause Analyses, and formulation of CAPA Plans
  • assist teams in performing their daily work in a consistent and efficient way
  • participate in / facilitate cross-functional discussions and working groups related to any aspect of quality, in order to create or optimize cross-functional procedures, or in order to look for efficiencies in processes and collaboration
  • act as project lead for internal projects related to operational process improvements or efficiency exercises

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • You have obtained a university degree, PhD or have relevant experience (at least 3 years) within Clinical Research and quality
  • You are fluent in both English and Dutch
  • You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Finally, you can recognize yourself in these character traits: eye for detail, organizational, assertive, motivated, stress resistant and flexible.
