Senior Product Manager AI Platform

About this role:

As the lead Product Manager on the Kindred AI and Software Platform Team you will develop intelligent robotic systems that break new ground in supply chain fulfillment, manufacturing environments and beyond.  

The ideal candidate is a Product Management professional with a track record of bringing innovative platform products to market and a background working around or with robotics to work closely with our engineering teams.

You must be passionate about the intersection of AI and robotics and have impeccable product management skills.  You anchor your decisions in strategy and defend them with data, and you combine a scrappy start-up mentality with an understanding of processes.

You will be working closely with a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, ML Engineers, and researchers to develop platform products for a wide array of robot applications across general merchandise, logistics, and grocery.  You will lead the way in developing deep internal customer insights, translating those insights to product requirements, iteratively converting product requirements into actual products, and then launching the product.  In addition, the PM will provide requirements to and work closely with our software and machine-learning product managers so he/she should be able to speak their language.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience working with software and AI platform products, preferably with edge device connectivity

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, robotics or working experience in the field

Experience interfacing and managing a wide group particularly internal to a company

Superior written, presentation, and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; experience in data collection, model building, testing and validation

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills

Highly-skilled at building relationships with engineering and architecture functions to ensure alignment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with robotics

Experience developing products with vision or other types of sensors

Experience working within a SOC2 compliant SDLC

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for our Toronto office as recommended by Health Canada. Health Canada defines fully vaccinated as: 2 weeks after your second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfzier or Moderna vaccines; or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
