Senior Product Engineer

🔎 The Problem:   Clinical trials and care are challenged by lack of access for historically underserved or underrepresented populations. Only 5% of an eligible population actually enrolls in a clinical trial. Digital technologies have the potential to change that by shifting more care to the home or non-traditional settings, driving better understanding of patients’ needs,  improving access to medicines and fostering greater inclusivity. But we need the infrastructure to deploy these technologies safely and equitably at scale.    🔑 The Solution: 

HumanFirst is building workflow solutions to evaluate and deploy digital technologies for remote health monitoring. 22 of the top 25 Pharma companies have used our platform to evaluate and execute digital measurement strategies for decentralized trials. We “wrote the book” on incorporating digital measures into trials with the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) and industry stakeholders, as the leading industry guide. By providing the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to move forward in the new era of digital healthcare, HumanFirst is advancing the safe, effective, and equitable use of digital medicine in real-life settings.

We closed a Series A round led by Maverick Ventures, with Lux Capital and Threshold Ventures and other leading investors - bringing total funding to $15M. We’re well funded, growing quickly, and on a hunt for the best Humans to join our small but mighty team.

👩🏾‍💻The Role:

We are hiring for a Senior Product Engineer to support and lead the technical direction of Atlas, HumanFirst’s core product. 

You’ll be joining a team of product specialists, engineers and clinicians, who understand the value of clean code, solid principles and coding standards as we scale HumanFirst and our industry-leading platform. 

We're still early, so you'll have an opportunity to shape not just our product, but the company itself: who we work with and how we work together. At HumanFirst we are fully remote so we look forward to you joining us from anywhere in the US.

🔩 What you will do:

By the First Month: • Get your development environment up and running • Development of smaller features and bug fixes with direction & support of other team members • Familiarize yourself with the internal development of Atlas and our engineering processes

By the Third Month: • Development of larger features with minimal direction & support from other engineering team members • Perform code reviews of other engineers’ changes to enforce best practices • Give demos of completed features to other teams

By the Sixth Month and Beyond: • Be the engineering point of contact for major features / architectural aspects, driving them from planning to implementation • Bring engineering expertise to internal teams to create novel technical solutions to blockers • Suggest and implement internal initiatives that improve the HumanFirst codebases • Advise other engineers on technical and architectural decisions
