Thanks to the strong development of our business, and in order to reach the ambitious targets we set for ourselves, we are currently looking for a talented (f/m) French and Dutch speaking professional within our Finance & Operations Risk Transformation team.

Your responsibilities

With a strong understanding of the financial, operational and sustainability challenges our clients face, you will take a key role in our team focusing on the chemicals industry.


As such, you will be part of a dynamic team that takes a practical and business-focused approach to helping clients in assessing and/or transforming different dimensions (organization, people, processes, technology) resulting in more effective and resilient business operations aligned with the organization’s objectives. In each of the dimensions, you will provide assurance and advisory services to help your organization achieve its full potential. Additional dimensions could be to help companies in the chemicals industry build sustainability and REACH compliance into their strategy and operations as a way to improve and protect margins, build brand value, and enhance risk resilience with the goal of supporting business growth.
You will

  • Analyze operational and procurement processes, identify the associated risks and opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of core operational processes and systems, and come up with action plans to bring the business in control.
  • Assess the impact of different technology solutions on the business processes of the client
  • Help design and pragmatically implement change in the organization to address key issues
  • Contribute to the analysis and business development in the domain of sustainability and circular economy.
  • Experience with REACH advisory is considered a plus but not required
  • Participate in the career and performance development of the Deloitte Risk Advisory practice by serving as a career coach, training consultants and providing timely and specific performance feedback;
  • Be trained and coached in order to develop your knowledge and skills, management and business development capabilities.

Your Profile

  • You have a master’s degree in economics or engineering or equally by experience
  • You have 3-6 years of track record experience in the Chemicals Industry and are well aware of the challenges of the industry; ideally you are consulting companies or have a background in consulting in this Industry;
  • You have an affinity with technology, are familiar with analytics tools and techniques, as well as the developments and trends on technology in this industry;
  • You have a genuine curiosity for understanding how organisations operate (business processes), challenge the status-que, and have a critical mindset;
  • You combine technical expertise with a drive for project management and business development;
  • Your approach is client and result oriented and you have excellent social, communication and presentation skills;
  • Previous consulting experience is an asset;
  • You can express yourself fluently in English, Dutch and French
