About Our Client
Our client is active in the retail sector (global reference for interior design and building), internationally well-known having their corporate HQ in Ghent.
Job Description
You will be part of the corporate Tax & Legal department and report to the Legal Manager of our client.
You will provide high quality legal support to the different business divisions of the Group with respect to commercial contract drafting and negotiating, corporate projects (M&A, restructuring, JV's etc.), corporate housekeeping of the different entities, litigations, real estate transactions and general legal compliance (GDPR).
The Successful Applicant
- You have a Master in Law with 5 to 10 years of experience (inhouse or as a lawyer)
- Strong experience in commercial law, corporate law, general business law
- You have excellent communication skills (written and oral) in Dutch & English
In terms of soft skills :
- You are straight forward, hands on and flexible and you have a pro-active and pragmatic attitude;
- You are punctual, analytical, attentive to detail and well organized and have excellent contract drafting skills
- You are able to build and maintain relationships and communicate effectively with internal clients and external advisors and you are convincing towards colleagues to accept legally sound solutions;
- You are entrepreneurial and you take ownership and have solid project management skills;
