Risk Manager Credit Portfolio

The KBC Group credit portfolio is increasingly sensitive and vulnerable to climate change. But that's not your only focus in this role. You will assess the impact of different kinds of adverse events on our credit portfolio, draw conclusions and report these to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management and regulators.

Sometimes you will tackle brand new challenges. Or as your colleague Marieke puts it: "Extension of regulatory requirements push us to explore new fields, like climate stress testing, which is challenging, but also gives the opportunity to be creative and find solutions together with other experts in the KBC group."

You work in a small team of about 10 people, but you will be in contact with colleagues from different countries. That adds an international dimension to the job and offers great learning opportunities.

• You monitor and analyse the total credit portfolio of KBC Group. You analyse credit portfolios from different angles (e.g. in terms of sectors or climate change) and derive insights and action points from your analysis.
• You take part in the group-wide stress tests and coordinate several tracks in such exercises. By doing so, you gradually become a content-wise expert in this area.
• You draw conclusions from the stress test calculations and take part in related discussions, both on methodology and outcome.
• You interact with colleagues from the model departments. As you (grow to) understand how risk and stress testing models work, you can think along with the modellers and challenge them.
• You report outcomes of analyses and stress tests to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management and regulators. You will get aware of which topics matter most to senior leadership.
