As Research, Development and Quality-intern (22-37 hours/week - Brussels), you are part of the Research, Development & Quality-team and will report to the RDQ-Manager in Brussels. You will have significant interaction with the Marketing team and other departments on-site.

Function

As RDQ-intern, you aim to support the Belgian team, based in Brussels, in their mission to influence the future of Nomad Foods to be a key player in delivering better food to people every day.

The role largely consists of two hats;

Quality: you will support in setting up procedures and ensuring quality-control for all Iglo Belgium products, in order to ensure product conformity across the range.
R&D: you will support the product developers in their development of new and improved products, and will support in setting up and following up product tastings.

You will deliver these roles by setting up a quality sampling plan, and by executing that plan successfully through the year. You will contribute to Quality procedures and Safety documents for the company’s site in Brussels, as well as establishing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues within the local Business Unit, and the wider RDQ community.

Moreover, you will be responsible for setting up product tastings, writing RDQ reports and reviewing artwork and content of packaging.

Qualifications

Experience or knowledge of food safety and –quality.
Relevant academic degree or studying in a relevant field.
Excellent IT skills – MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills in French, English. Dutch is a plus.

Proactive, creative mindset, hands-on mentality, and high attention to detail
Highly energized and passionate personality
Ideally available for minimum 6 months, preferably 12 months as of April
