SGS Life Sciences carries out all type of services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, from coordination and running of clinical trials with new molecules or techniques on human beings, to support and consultancy on post marketing registration activities. SGS Life Sciences has also expertise in the quality control of pharmaceuticals.

At our Clinical Pharmacology Unit, located at University Hospital Antwerp, we are currently looking for a Quality Officer (Clinical Research)!

Job Description

As a Quality Officer, you will focus on the quality control of the execution of the process of data collection and study organization in our clinical pharmacology unit. This includes checking study files, patient records, study schedules and trial forms for completeness and accuracy; performing ad random QC checks; and reporting the results to the study team members. You will also be responsible for planning these control activities and you will support in the implementation of corrective actions.

You will be working in close collaboration with the all the different operational teams in our clinical pharmacology unit such as investigators, coordinators, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, nurses, recruitment officers and administrative staff.

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in science (or equivalent), with preferably a first experience in a quality or an operational function related to life sciences.

  • You love to work together with different departments; therefore, you have great interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Quality is key, certainly at SGS.  You are driven by objective measurement tools, and love to assess the quality of data, the process of data collection and the quality of study organization.

  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
