At present Ardennor develops both for the account of a major European vacation parc operator as for its own account. Vacant position
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Purchasing Officer – someone who is responsible, quick, accurate, organized and has excellent negotiation skills. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving, dynamic team with stability and upside.
Job Description
As our Purchasing Officer you will take the full responsibility of:
- Sourcing products based on the design brief given
- Organising and establishing the entire purchasing process and related flows
- Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
- Interviewing vendors and possibly visiting suppliers’ facilities to learn about products, services and pricing including ordering samples if required
- Negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company and within the budgets set-forth
- Obtaining final offers and placing the orders
- Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times including following up delivery times and resolve shipping errors
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Authorizing and follow up of payments
- Follow up and organize transport if necessary
- Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
- Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
- Ensuring all ordered goods are delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
- Weekly internal reporting on the status of each step of the purchasing process in an exhaustive and orderly manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
- Fluent (verbally and written) in Dutch, French and English
- Previous experience of minimum 5 years in a similar position.
- Creative profile with an affinity for real estate and interior design
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Great organizational, administrative and planning skills.
- The ability to identify and monitor market and design trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
