Project Manager – Business Digital transformation

For the Grid division at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for a Project Manager – Business Digital transformation (m/f/x).
 

Within the GRID department, the TPW (Third-Party Works) & Pipelines Division coordinates all activities carried out around Fluxys gas transmission pipelines. This includes both work that other parties wish to carry out near Fluxys facilities, as well as Fluxys technologies, patrols and inspections in the field and from the air.

You will take part in Fluxys' change strategy in terms of innovation, new technologies and digital development.

Your respon­sibilities

• You will keep abreast of all innovations and digital developments related to the activities carried out around Fluxys gas transmission pipelines: pipeline patrols, smart detection systems and monitoring of third-party works
  • You will follow the evolution f existing applications in order to assess their suitability with our existing technologies and systems
  • You will analyse new technologies (satellite, drones, lidar, etc.) and smart data interpretation tools (AI, text recognition, etc.) on offer and pursue discussions with service providers in order to integrate these new solutions, assess their impact and monitor their development
  • You will be responsible for testing these new technologies and evaluating them through business cases. You will prepare and analyse reports for internal stakeholders and Fluxys management
• You will support Business Support for TPW & Pipeline Patrolling projects
  • You will coordinate ICT projects in order to orient them towards a coherent whole that can provide reliable solutions
  • You will translate the developments to be implemented, define the essential factors for the success of the project, determine the return on investment and support ICT with evaluating the resources required
  • You will be the contact person during the development of the project, ensure that the test programmes and commissioning go according to expectations and support users in the training and use of new applications
• You will be the contact person for internal collaborators for technical questions, feedback on use or instructions. You will assist the officer in charge of third-party works when it comes to approving complex projects

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A master's degree in engineering, with a specialisation in computer science, electrical engineering/energy or business administration
• Five years of relevant professional experience in an industrial environment, with a strong preference for energy, pipeline systems or digital applications
• An interest in technological developments linked to innovation and digitalisation
• The ability to manage multiple digitalisation projects at the same time without losing sight of the big picture
• A critical and pragmatic approach and an analytical mind
• An ability to communicate with impact and to tailor your communication to the people you are talking to
• Excellent mastering of French, Dutch and English
