Portuguese and Spanish speaking Controller - International Trader - Deurne

Introduction

This International Trader with headquarters in Antwerp is looking for a regional controller. The company is active in chemical product trading in Emerging Markets. For their Latin- American division they are looking for a Spanish and Portuguese speaking controller. You’ll have to travel approximately 30% of your time and will report to the Chief Controlling Officer.

Your responsibilities

As a regional controller you are responsible for:

Assist in developing and maintaining financial control of the global chemical distribution activities. (linking finance with business).
Prepare analysis & comments for the monthly executive reporting package with regards to group performance for your region.
Work closely with the global reporting team to develop more insightful reports and analysis to support business management (both global and local)
Support business management to structure and define key performance indicators for their business segments and provide structured followup on the evolution of these KPI’s.
Provide adhoc analysis on key trends and variance to support executive decision making.
Manage & strengthen the global planning and budgeting cycle.
Manage and support adhoc projects linked to financing, tax and M&A for your region.

Your profile

You have a master’s degree in Economics / Commercial Engineering.
You have at least 5 years of experience in finance, a first experience in Controlling is a plus.
You speak fluently Spanish, Portuguese and English. Other languages are considered as a plus.
You have strong analytical skills and ability to reduce complex information to key conclusions.
You have a handson and ‘getting things done’ mentality.
You have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
You are willing to travel up to 25% of your time, mainly to Brazil.
You have good Excel skills; experience withPower Pivot and BI is an advantage.
