About You

As part of our expansion in the Benelux region, we are now looking for a qualified Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs Department in Belgium. In this important function, you will establish and maintain medical relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), HCPs and key accounts on behalf of the Vifor Pharma Group. Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Develop and maintain scientific and medical expertise in Vifor Pharma Group’s therapeutic areas and products
  • Identify, develop and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs, HCPs and professional organizations
  • Key account medical support
  • Facilitate scientific engagement, scientific exchange and medical information
  • Provide medical education, clinical presentations and respond to medical requests
  • Update medical team and other internal stakeholders on medical community interactions
  • Provide medical support for patient and formulary access products following global and local policies and procedures
  • Support the development, implementation and completion of medical activities (advisory boards, symposia, publications, medical education and speaker programs)
  • Serve as a medical and scientific resource for internal medical and sales training
  • Support company sponsored clinical research and IIS process
  • Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences and support development of summaries of key data, presentations or symposia
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local and global laws, regulations, guidelines and company policies and procedures
  • Act within values of Vifor Pharma Group: entrepreneurship, respect and teamwork
For this key position we are, ideally, looking for an experienced professional with the following qualifications, background and experience:
  • Doctoral level degree (PhD), MD, PharmD or MSc in a biomedical field (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biochemistry, Biomedical or Biology)
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in clinical practice, research or pharmaceutical medical affairs, ideally with previous experience as an MSL within the pharmaceutical industry
  • A background in anesthesiology, surgery and/or cardiology is considered a plus
  • Experience in clinical research and GCP is desired
  • Experience in presenting and disseminating scientific information in a clinical context
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in
