Mechanical Engineer

About this role We’re looking for a mechanical engineer to help us build high precision optical assembly systems, allowing us to scale up manufacturing of our novel AI hardware that will support neural networks at the size of the human brain and beyond. At Fathom Radiant, you will work closely with teams of packaging engineers, optical lens designers and optoelectronic device designers. You will lead the effort through concept, prototyping, and manufacturing. You will be responsible for interacting with various vendors and suppliers to procure parts for and develop these systems. Hands on experience with rapid prototyping is highly desired including design, manufacturing and assembly of mechanical systems. Experience with 3D printing and/or CNC machining is highly desirable.

Indicative salary range for this role: $100,000 - $160,000
