What you will be doing

The Master Data Management (MDM) Finance team is part of the Global Financial Services (GFS) Europe and our core business is the validation of all requests for creation and maintenance of third parties in our SAP environment worldwide, integration of metal prices in different SAP environments as well as ad hoc requests on master data related topics.
The challenge is to provide these services in a continuous evolving environment of digitalization and automation with support of Robots and Artificial Intelligence. Our mission is delivering an excellent service to our stakeholders by actively supporting each other and providing open-minded support to our Global Process Owner (GPO) team to further improve our processes together.

Your responsibilities 
* You are responsible for 3P (customer, vendor, business partner) validation and maintenance worldwide by following strict procedures
* You perform the daily control of metal prices integration in SAP environments and take appropriate action if errors occur
* You provide the necessary month end closing reports
* You are able to answer questions from our internal stakeholders worldwide on any master data related topic
* You use your knowledge to come up with solutions that can further support the team on their journey to digitalization. You implement those digital solutions.
* You contribute to the continuous improvement roadmap.
* You report to the MDM team lead

Profil

Who we are looking for

* The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of progressive responsibility
* You are analytical minded, flexible, hard-working, accurate and you can prioritize in accordance with the deadlines for financial closure
* You are IT minded and willing to work with new digital tool.
* You work in an efficient and structured way and are result-oriented
* You demonstrate a proficiency to work both autonomously and in team
* You are customer-focused and you treat internal or external stakeholders’ questions professionally
* You are to actively contribute to Umicore’s digitalization journey
* You are able to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively, you work effectively with cross functional teams at multiple departments and locations
* You are process oriented and have a strong appetite to work on process improvements
* We expect you to be a Self-Starter with the ability to multi-task and effectively work under tight deadlines on a regular basis;
* You have profound knowledge of English and preferably also of Dutch and/or French, both spoken and written
* You have MS Office skills, knowledge of SAP and/or robotics is a plus
* You are willing to learn new things and to continuously improve yourself
