Who are we looking for?

You organize the infra network capacity & capabilities of your country and corridor to support Lineas innovative, qualitative and robust pan European rail solutions.

You are the Lineas key account for one or more rail infrastructure managers (IM’s) and capacity allocating bodies (AB’s). You are responsible for relationship, cost and performance management, including initiating initiatives to improve.

You are part of a team of corridor managers that coordinates the internal Lineas Infra Communities, to enhance collaboration and alignment between the different central and local Lineas departments working with the IM’s and AB’s. You work in a matrix structure of responsibilities (nationally organized infrastructure managers and multi-country production network). You leverage our European approach, seize the infra opportunities and pro-actively handle threats.

You are responsible for organizing and realizing the strategic vision on rail infrastructure and related processes, including defining and ordering the necessary capacity and capabilities on an international level. You participate in national and international projects on capacity processes. You are the infra capacity & capability expert for the assigned countries.

You support our Lineas operational network strategy and related improvement projects.


What are your duties?

You are the central point within Lineas for the infrastructure managers and allocating bodies of your corridor:

  • You act as a Key Account Manager by influencing the IM’s and AB’s to align with the Lineas’ strategy and you represent Lineas in EU infrastructure capacity councils and projects.
  • You coordinate the Lineas infrastructure community of your corridor. You set up, influence and manage communication and alignment structures with the internal departments that interact with the IM’s and AB’s.
  • You are responsible for the budgeting and follow up of the infrastructure costs,. You initiate the necessary actions to keep your budget spent under control.
  • You actively follow up the performance, cost and efficiency of the network, and of Infrastructure Managers and allocating bodies. You initiate and manage improvement initiatives.
  • You actively steer the local infrastructure coordinators working from the local entities.

You support a qualitative and robust operational network. You develop and support contingency processes and approaches on your corridor.

As the Infra capacity & capability expert for the assigned areas, you are responsible for the mid-term and strategic capacity management of all traffics on the assigned corridors, in line with the international capacity processes and tools.


What is your profile?

  • you actively reach out to the different internal and external stakeholders to collect the traffic requirements and forecasts to derive the capacity requirements
  • You have the ability to think at the same time strategically and take into account operational reality (you are hands on)
  • You think out of the box
  • You have experience in managing relationships and are able to give guidance within a functional team
  • You are pro-active, Persistent, stress-resilient, pragmatic, result-oriented and able to think out of the box
  • You are flexible (hours & different workplaces within Belgium & occasionally abroad)
  • You have proven project management skills
  • You are well organised and able to prioritise in a context of changing priorities
  • You are able to analyse and create reporting dashboards and always willing to challenge others.
  • Experience with resource planning tools is a major plus.
  • You speak Dutch, English and German. (Or are willing to learn quickly)
