Junior Risk Manager Products

"Everyone Invested" is KBC Asset Management's (KBC AM) motto. As Product Risk Manager you contribute to this goal and reconcile this with KBC Group's standards of risk and responsible behaviour Always with our clients in mind.

You will join an international and varied team, with colleagues in Dublin, Brussels, Prague, Budapest and Sofia. Our common goal is to:

• be a forerunner in risk management who contributes to KBC AM and KBC Group projects;
• design and monitor a custom control environment;
• strengthen the risk culture in KBC AM and the KBC Group as a whole by expanding our colleagues' knowledge and skills concerning risks and the product offering. And always in close cooperation with all interested parties.

To get started in this role we need your enthusiasm, your quantitative skills and any experience you have in risk management, modelling or asset management. We will take care of the rest: a warm welcome, general and specific training, specialised training, and training with your team to develop your skills, and of course, training on the job.

• You monitor the financial risks in the funds and discuss proposed solutions with the fund managers when limits are exceeded.
• You can transform quantitative data into economic and financial insights, for example using tools developed in Matlab, VBA or Python.
• You manage the relationships with business, senior management, external auditors and regulators.
• You participate in projects concerning KBC AM as a whole, for example, you focus on the implementation of new technologies, new regulations, and the like, where you represent the voice of risk management.
• You make recommendations to the department responsible for product development and innovation as they are creating new products.
