About Our Client
I'm looking for a Junior Policy Officer for an International Not for Profit Association based in Brussels.
Job Description
As a Junior Policy Officer, who will be joining the digital policy team, you will have the following responsibilities:
Leading advocacy activities on digital policy issues at EU level.
Developing policy positions and amendments on key digital policy files such as the Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act and the ePrivacy Regulation.
Organising and coordinating digital policy meetings for Organisation members
Monitoring digital policy issues at EU and global level and keeping members up to date on developments (e.g. by drafting email updates, newsletters, preparing and giving presentations at meetings, writing briefings, leading webinars).
Identifying new and emerging digital policy issues which could be relevant for members at global and EU level.
Being present at certain events.
The Successful Applicant
As a Junior Policy Officer you have / are:
Minimum a first experience working on EU policy issues, preferably in Brussels, and a track record of leading advocacy and outreach with policymakers.
A good understanding of and interest in digital policy, and prior experience working on platform regulation and/or privacy is a plus
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills and public speaking skills.
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
A results-driven self-starter able to take initiative and lead projects largely autonomously.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
