Job Description

As a (Junior) Logistics Specialist you are responsible for the day-to-day follow-up of import and export shipments and related tasks. You ensure the operations are smooth and in compliance, support logistics lead and handle projects.

Tasks:

  • You'll coordinate, check and follow-up on all products which are imported and shipped in compliance with all regulations.
  • You'll ensure the incidents are mitigated and properly investigated and follow up on implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
  • Issue and follow up of Logistic Supplier Corrective Action Requests (Logistic complaint handling).
  • You'll follow Safety, Health, Environment company rules to ensure SHE-compliance at any time for any operation.
  • Issue Long Term Declarations for finished products.
  • You'll follow up on receipt of supplier's Long Term Declarations for raw materials + filing into SAP.
  • Daily follow up on stock in transit thru SAP report and provide needed info to 3rd party warehouse, planning.
  • Daily follow up on on time goods receipt thru SAP report and provide needed info to 3rd party warehouse, planning.
  • You'll follow up on customs clearance as well as excise reporting, and ensure proper filing of documents/reports.
  • Checking of invoices and identify opportunities to minimize cost through process improvements.
  • You'll support Logistics Lead with new and ongoing projects. (e.g. Monthly On Time Shipment Reporting,…)

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a (Junior) Logistics Specialist that:

  • Has 2 years experience in related discipline, or a Bachelor/Master in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration.
  • Effective communication skills, orally and in writing, in English and Dutch or French.
  • Motivated and self-organized with a positive and 'can-do' attitude, quick-learner.
  • Capable to work autonomously and able to work respectfully and in good cooperation with others
  • Clear understanding of supply chain functions and how they interact in support of the overall supply chain.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong ethics, meeting all applicable compliance needs.
