Outbrain is seeking a Publisher Account Manager, who will play a key role helping to grow our business in Belgium & The Netherlands. Outbrain powers the content recommendations that publishers offer to their readers, to increase user engagement and drive revenue on sites like De Standaard, HLN, Le Soir, De Telegraaf, Grazia, amongst many others. Outbrain also enables owners of content, both publishers and brands to run content marketing campaigns across our publisher network.

Based out of Brussels, you will work closely with the business development team and be responsible for the implementation and launch of Outbrain technology on publisher sites. A key focus for the role will be the ongoing management and growth of a set of dedicated accounts. Preparing and presenting regular partner performance reviews, formulating and executing optimisation plans and running the day-to-day relationship to maximise the value we bring to our partners. You will also liaise with the Technical Account Management team on new and ongoing partner implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the business development teams on both new and existing partners.
  • Pre-sales – project manage and co-ordinate the successful launch of the various Outbrain Services with new partners.
  • Post-sales - you will be responsible for optimising parts of the service looking to work together with partners to work on improvement and add new features to maximise revenue, including assessing the current performance.
  • Prioritise, manage, and efficiently complete tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Taking responsibilities of the accounts - you will manage your own portfolio of accounts and be responsible for developing the success of partnerships.


Your first year should look like this:

In your first month, you should find your bearings, do a deep dive into the Outbrain product as well as the technical aspects of it, and start to build key internal and external relationships.

After three to six months, you will be leading the day-to-day relationships with top-tier publishers, actively working as a partner to these and understanding both their commercial and editorial needs. You will have made an impact on Outbrain’s financial performance contributing towards our targets.

When you finish up your first year, you’ll be an essential part of the vibrant Engage AM team, with solid cross-functional relationships. You will continue to leverage your knowledge and collaborate successfully with the rest of the team.


Requirements:

  • You have a first experience in advertising (incl. digital) and partner management, having at least 2-3 years of on-the-job experience. Possessing a knowledge of ad technology and media landscape is a plus.
  • You have the ability and desire to interface with clients both remotely and face to face to provide timely, consistent and accurate support and account management.
  • You are very efficient and flexible, with a great attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
  • You are an excellent and convincing communicator, able to partner with our clients and your colleagues.
  • You are able to interpret data and trends to derive valuable insights and make recommendations.
  • You are fluent in English and preferably are also able to communicate in one of the local languages (Dutch/French). Other languages is an asset.
