PensionsEurope, the voice for workplace pensions in Europe, is looking for a full-time Internal Affairs Manager to join its Brussels secretariat. We represent the national associations of pension funds and similar institutions for workplace pension provision. PensionsEurope has a total of 25 member associations in EU Member States and other European countries. PensionsEurope, through its members, covers workplace pensions of over 110 million Europeans and represents € 5 trillion in assets.

For this key position in an association working in the European environment, PensionsEurope is looking for a dynamic personality with the right qualities and experience in office and events management and communications. You will work as part of a small team in our Secretariat in Brussels. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.

Your main responsibility is to successfully manage the daily affairs of an internationally dispersed association.  We aim to improve the look and feel of all internal and external communications including management of website and use of social media. There will be an opportunity to develop your communication responsibilities.

Description de la fonction

  • Personal assistance to the Secretary General
  • Practical management of our office in Brussels and relations with external service providers including financial administration (accounting of income and expenses, audit) with our external service providers
  • Organisation and management of meetings and events (Board meetings, General Assembly Meetings, Working Groups, Annual Conference, etc.)
  • Drafting internal documents and assisting in external communication.
  • Keeping the website up to date: www.pensionseurope.eu
  • Handling day-to-day correspondence and organise mailings with members, EU institutions and various stakeholders
  • Active management of contact database including roll-out of contact engagement program
  • Maintaining IT equipment and office technology
  • Some HR duties, as well as some housekeeping and reception duties

Profil

  • A university degree
  • Relevant experience, preferably in the EU institutional environment
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. English is the official language of PensionsEurope and all our communications and meetings are in English.
  • Excellent command of French or Dutch to be able to manage duties with the Belgian authorities and service providers.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Well-developed social, organisational and communication skills
  • Dynamic and flexible personality; self-starter
  • Capacity to work independently and in a small team 

The Internal Affairs Manager will report directly to the Secretary General/CEO.
