Accurately measuring and analysing risks is the basis of good risk management. And that is exactly what you will be doing as an Insurance Risk Analyst. Together with your team, you ensure that internal and external parties receive clear facts & figures and thorough analyses of the risks to which KBC Insurance Group is exposed. You will directly provide input to Group Risk and many other stakeholders. Furthermore, we continuously strive to bring our measurement processes to the next level through several big & smaller projects.

You reinforce the Risk Measurement team that is part of our Data Quality Management (DQM) department. It's a strong team of young and more experienced risk analysts that will welcome you with open arms.


The importance of data quality has increased enormously in recent years and data management has become one of the most exciting domains in the financial industry. At DQM we are at the heart of KBC's data-driven strategy and are responsible for ensuring that KBC delivers top quality reports to national and international regulators. It's an inspiring, international context, as DQM works with all entities of the KBC group to produce more than 4500 reports.

Together with the Group Risk Competence Centers your team is responsible for KBC Group's asset & liability management (ALM), liquidity & insurance risk management.

Description de la fonction

  • You measure and monitor insurance risks and provide the quantification of the capital requirements under Solvency II. You report them to senior management so that they can make the right decisions. You are also in contact with KBC's supervisors.
  • You are responsible for the timely and correct delivery of resp. regulatory reporting (e.g. QRTs).
  • You analyse large quantities of data to correctly determine the insurance risk profile.
  • You are constantly looking for ways to present complex matters in a manageable, attractive way, thereby increasing your impact on the decision-making process.
  • You think about innovations within and optimizations of our risk measurement process and help implement them. This way, you help us seize new opportunities and continue to evolve.
  • You continuously expand your knowledge on regulations concerning insurance risk management and reporting.
  • You work closely with your colleagues in the local risk departments of the foreign entities of KBC Insurance Group, but also with the Insurance Risk Competence Center (Group Risk), the local actuarial teams & insurance businesses, Group Finance, Group Treasury and other teams of the Data Quality Management department.
