Job Purpose
To build and execute business plans to drive territory sales by interacting with the assigned customer segment by regular phone calls.

Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Execute business plans and drive achievement of sales targets for assigned customers over the phone and by utilizing remote sales applications
  • Develop and apply understanding of customer organizations and networks and of diverse influences that affect customer decisions (e.g. peer relationships)
  • Execute call plans for customers; call on the right person to deliver the right message with the right frequency
  • Adapt and optimize approach and communications style during sales calls, responding appropriately to customer needs
  • Make effective use of available technologies and channels to support sales calls
  • Ensure that Alcon products and supporting services are broadly understood and available to more patients and customers
  • Deploy and use approved Marketing and Sales promotional materials and programs
  • Use expert knowledge of Alcon products to support sound clinical discussions
  • Use detailed knowledge of competitor products’ features and benefits during sales calls to improve sales of Alcon products
  • Allocate resources effectively (i.e. sampling, marketing material, etc.)
  • Work effectively with other Alcon stakeholders and with resources in Sales and across other functions (e.g., KAM, Marketing, etc.) to achieve sales targets
  • Provide Alcon stakeholders and other colleagues with insight and feedback gained from customer interactions
  • Work within Integrity and Compliance policies and all company policies and ensures those around him/her do the same
  • Present a positive attitude and leadership skills to foster a high performing culture
  • Actively participate in all team meetings, conference calls, trainings, sales meetings.

Minimum requirements

What you will bring to the role
  • Degree level in sales and marketing or business related field
  • Business advanced: Dutch, French and English
  • Prior exposure to sales
  • Experience in telesales
  • Excellent communication skills, both technically and interpersonally
  • Strong problem solving and customer management skills
  • Strong influencing, negotiating and collaboration skills
