About Our Client

Our customer is a major civil engineering company specialized in road construction. The company performs more than 60,000 projects each year around the world and employs more than 50.000 people in more than 45 countries.

Job Description

As HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for the following:

  • You are in charge of the implementation of the group HR strategy (Soft & Hard HR) at local level and are end responsible for the sites located in Antwerp and Limburg.

  • You are acting as a business partner but also as a real people partner.

  • You manage a diverse range of HR topics including but not limited to recruitment & selection, learning & development, retention, performance management, social relations and execute in collaboration with the management the HR strategy around these topics .

  • You are passionate about HR processes and you are willing to improve and/or digitize them when you identify areas for improvement.

  • You initiate change activities aiming at bringing HR maturity and processes to the next level, whether it is at local or national level.

  • You build and maintain constructive relationships with staff delegation and Unions representatives and facilitate the social dialogue (CPBW, Works Council...).

  • You report to the HR Director and have daily contacts with HR colleagues (recruitment team, payroll, HR Admin, HR Business Partners)

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant field (HR, Economics, Psychology) or equivalent by experience

  • You have a generalist HR experience in a technical environment (manufacturing site or production environment)

  • You have a real hands-on mindset and enough maturity and communication skills allowing you to create a trustworthy climate with all your stakeholders (internally as well as externally)

  • You have a prior experience in social dialogue and you are used to discuss with unions and staff delegation

  • You have solid interpersonal skills allowing to understand people constraints, influence and initiate changes

  • You are results oriented and can take initiatives when required. You have a pragmatic approach and enjoy getting the best out of people

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English and have a good command of French

  • Any experience with SAP Success Factors is considered as an asset
