Introduction

For our client, Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE), Bakker& Partners is looking for a highly motivated individual to join as HR Business Partner

Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE) is rapidly growing. The European Headquarter works alongside an ever-expanding network of over 100 dealers in 30 countries who sell and support our world-class machinery. They deal with the sales and marketing of construction and material handling equipment across Europe and are constantly looking for motivated new colleagues to join the team.

HCEE is small in size, but has high ambitions and belongs to one the world players in its industries.

Your responsibilities

You are the central point of contact for staff and management regarding all people and HR matters. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy taking the lead and like to get your feet wet. You cover the full scope of HR areas.

You are part of an international team highly committed to make our European growth strategy happen.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Further developing the HR policy, both related to hard and soft HR
  • Working closely together with the leadership team to align on the HR priorities and projects
  • Coaching team leads and managers and being a sounding board to all staff
  • Leading a Payroll Officer and a Recruiter
  • Implementing and optimize HR practices and projects from start to finish. This ranges from workforce planning over talent acquisition and on-boarding, talent management, performance management, compensation & benefits management and well-being
  • Identifying opportunities for and advising on business performance improvement through organizational development
  • Taking a leading role in enabling HCEE to become a state-of-the-art and futureproof organization. This also means identifying opportunities for business performance improvement through organizational development

 

You report into the Administration Director and work seamlessly with senior management. In normal times, you work mainly from the bright and spacious offices of HCEE.

Your profile

  • You are an HR generalist, passionate about both soft and hard HR
  • You can put HR processes in place and optimize them tailored to HCEE’s needs
  • You adjust your approach to the HCEE objectives and respond to the needs raised by managers
  • You can engage and lead your small team
  • You have a hands-on approach and like standing feet in the mud. This also includes advising team leads and managers and being a sounding board to employees
  • You are very familiar with Belgian labour law, yet thrive in an international context
  • You like to challenge the status-quo and use a fact-based approach
  • You are an integer, diplomatic and positive person with a “can do” mindset
  • You are good at both listening, communicating and persuading others
  • Your English is fluent with at least good Dutch and/or French. But the more European languages you actively master, the better!
  • Ideally, you are familiar with payroll
