We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and pro-active HR Business Partner to join our fast-growing team at Inari Ghent, who is committed and passionate about developing 21st century solutions to address global food challenges. You will be part of a global People Team and be responsible for local HR administration support including interacting with an external payroll partner, onboarding and employee support. In addition, you will also be a key driver for people and culture development for the site and across the company.

As a HR Business Partner, you will…- Plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies and activities of Inari's Ghent R&D facility, ensuring implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
- Support the provision of constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with leadership and the global People Team to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting and retention.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard and train staff, aligned with our Global People team strategy.
- Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale and general employee well-being; and training and development.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, regional, and local employment laws and regulations (supported by local legal counsel and external HR Specialists), and recommended best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice and resources to management.
Profil
You bring...- 5 plus years of work experience in HR
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in Belgium.
- Ability to engage employees, motivate them and raise performance levels.
- Excellent people skills and are emotionally intelligent.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills and you have a proven ability to work within deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as fantastic interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees as we live in a highly dynamic world and operate in an ever changing industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and have the ability to quickly learn the organization’s resource management systems.
- Multilingual professional language skills– Dutch and English are essential (both writing and speaking), French and other languages are a plus.
Bonus Qualifications...- Prior experience working in HR as an HR Business Partner to a Science/Research department is a big plus.
