Global account manager

Introduction

Global account manager (F/M/X), Based in Belgium (Brussels)

The Global Account Manager (GAM) manages the contractual relationship with large Group customers (National & European) within a designated portfolio. The GAM has full customer ownership and accountability for the entire cooperation with the Flash Group. Through in-depth customer knowledge the GAM develops business opportunities for the Group within the existing portfolio of named accounts and prospects.

In this role, you report to the Chief Sales Officer.

Main responsibilities

Manage the relationship at HQ level with contract key customers;
Manage both top-down & bottom-up communication & actions within the Group to comply with customer account management expectation;
Interact with & take ownership of process alignment with other departments (e.g. Operations, Invoicing, Credit Management, etc.);
Through in depth relationship management and customer knowledge, create business development opportunities as well as efficiency & process improvements;
Active development of an existing customer and prospect portfolio, including but not limited to entire RFI / RFQ management.

Requirements

Degree in the field of Commercial Management or any other relevant education;
Able to handle stressful and critical situations;
Possess strong communication and organizational skills;
Capability to focus on both customer interests and company profitability;
Be a team player whilst taking responsibility;
Willing to travel on a regular basis;
5-7 years of experience in a sales role (within transportation is a plus).

Your profile

Dynamic and highly motivated;
Knowledge of transport and logistics or eager to learn quickly about this market;
Alternatively held a senior sales role within an industry (Automotive, Aerospace, etc);
Affinity with negotiation and selling techniques;
Sound taste for challenge and action;
Very good French and English level required
Any other language knowledge is a plus (e.g. German);
Team player, customer-oriented, flexible, stress resistant, eager to learn, cost-conscious and persuasive.
