Full Stack Engineer

Iron Fish is a new cryptocurrency that takes no shortcuts on privacy and usability. Privacy isn’t just important, it’s essential to crypto’s success. Our vision is for Iron Fish to become a shielded layer for many more assets, even ones on different chains, and provide a platform for true digital cash.

A core belief at Iron Fish is that privacy and ease-of-use are not in opposition. Users and developers deserve both. Our codebase is TypeScript + Rust, so the world's 1M+ JavaScript developers can contribute. The current implementation is even compatible to run a full Iron Fish node directly in the browser in future iterations.

We are looking for someone who's passionate about creating amazing user experiences and continuously dispelling the myth that crypto is hard.

We're looking for Full Stack Engineers that will work cross-functionally—collaborating with designers, leadership, and other engineers to design features and break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines. This role is perfect for someone excited to work on uncharted territory in decentralized networks and cutting edge cryptography.

What you’ll do: As an engineer in a fast growing company, the day-to-day may vary. But here is some of what you can expect to do:

• Build, document and maintain tests, features, and infrastructure
• Communicate and document architectural designs and requirements
• Write high quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers

Written production-level code in Node, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Rust

Worked in at least one of our focus areas:

• Cryptocurrency architecture development
• Web and/or Electron application development
• P2P application development
• Security

Nice to haves You’ve worked with React, React Native, Typescript You have experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc..) You are interested in world economies or what it takes to build a global currency
