For one of our clients, a leading multinational in the Chemical Industry, we are currently recruiting a freelance Logistics Manager for a challenging assignment.
Jouw verantwoordelijkheden
- You will be part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Department and will work in close collaboration with the different local Logistics Managers of the Group.
- This role requires an agile, strategical, operational and commercial approach for all logistics activities as a key service role meeting the expected business requirements enhancing a cost-efficient supply chain strategy.
- All logistic activities are outsourced to 3/4 PL service providers therefore the emphasis will be on the daily management of the MSP's and the follow up of the operations combined with the procurement of new or renewed service contracts.
- You will assess all logistic flows and strive for potential optimizations ensuring smooth supply flows for all business units.
- The logistics flows vary from sea and air freight to barging and coastal, intermodal rail, terminals and inbound transport, warehousing, custom management up to outbound transport.
Jouw profiel
- You gained a Bachelor or Master Degree combined with a solid supply chain or logistics management experience.
- You are able to actively manage your logistics service suppliers and have a strong overall supplier relationship management experience.
- You are a strong negotiator skilled in procuring logistics contracts.
- You gained your experience in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Food, Feed or Agrochemicals Industry.
- Fluency in English and Dutch, other languages are an asset.
