The office in Belgium is located close to the airport which provides flexibility to our employees who need to arrange their business travel. The office is a base for around 40 employees and contains the EMEA Supply Chain team, Finance and People and Culture. At our Belgium office we support several countries. Our workforce is diverse - we have a lot of different nationalities and cultures, which brings an international flow throughout the whole office. Specifically for the Benelux region – we have around 20 field based people who come into the office to help build connections between different departments, resulting in a truly One Ortho approach.

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly & yearly closing checks, take lead in cost controlling and ownership in quarterly reporting tasks
  • Assistance in statutory audits and fiscal reporting, coordination with tax consultants
  • Support in Annual Budget preparation and quarterly reforecasting cycles
  • Assist and pro-actively involved in ad-hoc projects e.g. software migration
  • Act as a business partner between finance and non-finance departments
  • Act as liaison between Shared Service Center and local affiliate

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Economics/Business Administration and/or Finance Certification
  • <5 years relevant experience in Finance & Accounting
  • Experience in accounting/audit; big four is a plus
  • Solid understanding US GAAP and local accounting & reporting principles
  • Experience in working in a multicultural environment is a plus
  • Strong ability to transform numbers into business actions
  • Strong communication skills and stress resilient
  • Pro-active, autonomous and open-minded
  • Fluent English and Dutch , French is a plus
  • Proficient Excel knowledge and basis in SAP/BPC ERP software and BI software is a plus
