Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution in Europe North Affiliates of the Integrated Access Strategy (IAS) to demonstrate the patient-centered value of AbbVie assets to health authorities, HTA agencies and payers
  • Ensure launch readiness in Europe North affiliates and optimize countries launch sequence by collaborating closely with Global Pricing
  • Analyze, synthesize, and translate cross functional information (Commercial, HTA, Pricing, Medical, Finance, Regulatory, GA etc.) into meaningful recommendations and local tactics
  • Adapt strategies and tactics to the fast-changing competitive landscape in Euorpe North markets (in-depth understanding of payer regulations, healthcare reforms)
  • Drive affiliates:
    • to gain and maintain optimal patient access & pricing conditions in a timely manner by addressing main opportunities and challenges in an innovative way
    • to localize key Global deliverables (Integrated Access Strategy, core value dossier, payer value proposition, health economics models…) considering local environment
    • for their pricing negotiations: local pricing strategy definition and tactics, types of agreements to implement
    • for their real-word evidence generation plan ensuring long term access
  • Develop local team’s skills to ensure attraction and retention of key talents: negotiation skills, business acumen, HTA, cross functional collaboration etc, and ensure robust succession plans.
  • Advise country management on issues related to MA&P/ health economics
  • Optimize Global Integrated Access Strategy by embedding Area MA&P perspective
  • Ensure global projects meet HTA agencies and payers’ requirements as well as affiliate needs.
  • Collaborate with GMAP to develop innovative contracting approaches that could maximize value
  • Monitor closely MA&P initiatives of competitors/ analogues and benchmark

The Regional (Area) Market Access Director will also act as the market access oncology lead, for the Western Europe & Canada region, and reports into the Market Access Director, Western Europe and Canada.
