Engineering Manager Backend Platform

This fully flexible role can be based onsite at the Gracenote office in Emeryville, CA, fully remote / work from home anywhere in the United States, or hybrid.

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to oversee our newly created Backend/Platform team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will grow a highly-focused engineering team implementing applications, platforms, and microservices.

This position requires a versatile manager and a great team player who is able to tackle complex technology problems. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and motivated to understand and leverage cutting edge technologies that will bring value to the organization. You will play a crucial role driving software innovations and help defining the engineering roadmap. Successful candidates will be able to balance direct project involvement with the time to grow our team members.

The role will expand over time from more hands-on implementation to managing and growing a larger team.
