Key responsibilities
Building RWE strategies
- Co-creating the EMEA RWE Strategies by working in close collaboration with the EMEA RWE managers and providing epidemiology and data science expertise with the goal to filling our key brands’ evidence gaps with robust RWE solutions
- Working closely with the EMEA RWD Partnership Lead to understand use of various external data sources as well as with the EMEA RWE Analytics team for translating the study designs into robust analyses plan
- Lead the Method Review Board (MRB) as the lead scientific methodologist who coordinates the scientific input for all regional and countries RWE research
Environmental awareness
- Seek external insights on RWE trends and initiatives in epidemiology methodology and use of innovative methods for RWE solutions including enabling outcome-based agreements
- Engage with our external stakeholders (as need it) to help design robust RWE research that increases the understanding of specific diseases and support brand’s RWE strategy
RWE training and communication plans
- In collaboration with internal stakeholders, support the EMEA RWE community for adequate interpretation of RWE insights and disseminate publications internally and externally
- Accountable for setting up high standards to be implemented in the EMEA region and as needed by the countries for RWE methods and trainings
- Lead, design and deliver on the RWE training strategy for supporting the EMEA region and the countries
Qualifications
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Technical expertise and background
- Masters/PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology or data science
- Several years of experience in successfully delivering RWE strategies (databases, prospective observational studies, drug safety or other) from ideation to disseminating the results to regulator/payer dossiers and publications; robust publication record in peer reviewed scientific and/or clinical journals or leader in the RWE field
- Good understanding of pharma industry trends and best practices, specifically related to epidemiology methods and market access environment
- Expected behavioural traits:
- External focus and demonstrated leadership in the epidemiology field
- Ability to think out-of-the-box and propose scientific and robust solutions for evidence gaps
- Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Excellent communicator with a strong business acumen
Fluency in written and spoken English - fluency in additional EMEA languages would be beneficial
Role requirements
- The role is EMEA based (central Europe) and will involve travel (to be determined in the post-COVID new normal) across the EMEA region
- It is anticipated that the role holder will be based in his/her current country of residence as long as easy access to travel/ transportation and local hosting is available at a Janssen office.
