Would you like to be part of an exciting and dynamic team that owns communications for Intel in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)? Lead and be responsible for corporate communications in EMEA? In the EMEA Corporate Communications Manager role, which is part of Intel's Global Communications Group (GCG), you will closely collaborate with Executive Communications, Government Affairs, Finance and Corporate Strategy, as well as the local team to drive awareness and conviction of Intel's strategy for long-term growth with major media outlets across the EMEA region.

This is a fast-paced and strategic role that requires strong decision making and the drive to be bold and take risks, using all the resources at your disposal to help promote and protect Intel's reputation with a focus on EMEA. You'll use your business acumen and understanding of industry to act as strategic counsel for senior business executives in the region as well as head-quarter teams to deliver creative communication campaigns aligned with local external stakeholders including customers, government and others. Reporting to the EMEA Communications Director you'll be leading a team of EMEA Communications Managers as well as the Communications/PR agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development, coordination, implementation, and/or administration of EMEA/EU communications/public relations strategies and policies, directed primarily toward the media and secondarily to industry, government, stockholders and/or employees
  • Plan, prepare, and disseminate information and materials intended for public release (e.g., news releases) to ensure they represent the best interests of the company, stockholders and employees and are consistent with established company public relations and communications objectives and policies
  • Be the internal expert, consultant, and program/project manager and represent the corporation to external groups, agencies, and vendors
  • Respond to crisis, customer/client requests or events as they occur
  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement
  • Develop and deliver creative communication campaigns and events tailored for the EMEA region that deliver on Intel's goals
  • Think strategically and play an integral role in coaching your team to create thought leadership and product campaigns that highlight Intel product as well as innovation and technology leadership
  • Develop and drive 'quick twitch' ideas that insert Intel into relevant news cycles
  • Be a source of knowledge and a trusted technical advisor to your team and colleagues
  • Collaborate, brief, and manage Intel's agencies to maximize results and ensure consistency across EMEA
  • Market our work with deliverables, insights and key results that encourage our stakeholders, motivate team members and strengthen the value of the Global Communications Group
  • Work with the EMEA Communications Director to capably manage local budgets


Qualifications


Preferred Education Background:

  • Degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related areas.
  • Minimum of 6-10 years' experience in public relations, external communications, corporate communications, writing and editing - either in-house or agency side


Ideal Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior executives, providing counsel and executing with a sense of urgency as a key partner
  • Conflict management, ability to defuse difficult situations and resolve issues in constructive ways
  • Ability to think strategically and ensure relevancy by 'connecting-the-dots' and effectively map Intel's business objectives to conversations in the marketplace
  • Inspirational, connecting purpose and vision with team/individual goals to encourage engagement and results orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, supporting people to do their best work by developing the team and work collaboratively in a matrix organization
  • 3+ years of managing people
  • Proven experience of, and the ability to be a confident and capable storyteller
  • Customer and team oriented. Ability to build strong relationships and can successfully partner with peers across Intel, other industry players as well as governmental organizations
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and can craft and deliver key messages to a variety of audiences through highly effective presentation and public speaking skills
  • Is adept at translating technical topics into easy-to-understand and relevant language
  • Able to identify and leverage opportunities to advance the company's communications objectives in creative, memorable ways that utilizes a variety of media vehicles social media, traditional media, broadcast, etc.
  • Results driven. Thrives on hard work and consistent challenge. Proven ability to be hands-on and as well as strategic, extracting and analyzing data to tell a story, influence a narrative and challenge assumptions
