Datacenter Project Leader (technical environment)

Introductie

You are responsible for the engineering, development, implementation of technical environments’ solutions (Power & Cooling) related to strategic Datacenters & POP sites, in line with our client’s network evolution objectives and financial assumptions.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Define and lead projects to improve the stability, reliability, monitoring and security of the Telco’s site environment
Full responsibility until project implementation including handover from acceptance to the operational teams and reporting
Define, evaluate and report on technical acceptance tests
Adapt OBE’s datacenter technical environment documentation and exploitation & maintenance procedures
Organize all design and engineering works in the context of the development and exploitation of Telco sites and as such delegate activities to selected partners following global contracts in line with OBE’s objectives and budget conditions
Ensure a unique interface between OBE and its partners for preventive and curative maintenances handover of the technical site environment
Monitor closely project evolution and provide progress and financial reports to management
Guarantee the quality of work performed by partners by enforcing and establishing working procedures
Ensure the follow up of partners regarding their contractual technical requirements, pending issues and technical problems
Support the purchasing department in technical negotiations

Provide solutions for efficient energy consumption
Knowledge of design and construction of buildings (datacenter)
HVAC experience with free cooling
Energy expertise (High Tension, Low Tension, 48V DC)
Fire detection and extinguisher expertise
Knowledge of various protocols such as TCP/IP and ModBus
Understanding of the fixed network with a specific orientation for the fiber networks.

Jouw profiel

You have a master degree with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and you’re familiar with industrial environment, particularly in mastering power & cooling infrastructure engineering, dimensioning & design

Good overall IT or Telecom-knowledge

You have strong planning & organization skills / task management

You are structured and communicative as well as customer-oriented

You have a good aptitude to interact, cooperate and influence (negotiation skills)

You have a good aptitude to search for the best solution within a technical and financial frame (problem solving)

You have strong priority management and are able to handle the complexity of a cross-domain project

You are fluent in Dutch or French and English.
