Data Scientist - Sartorius - Belgique

Our Data Analytics Division, a market leader in advanced analytics and provider of Umetrics Suite of Data Analytics Solutions, is on a strong growth path driving new innovative solutions in the field. It currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Data Scientist to drive customer applications, support the Sartorius sales teams and feedback customer needs into the development of new solutions.

In this key role you will have a strong customer focus to help secure innovation and growth. Combining your experience in the Biopharma or Pharma industry with knowledge of applied data science such as MVDA, DOE, MSPC, PAT, QbD, Model Predictive Control (MPC), AI/Machine learning.

This position can be based in any country in Europe where Sartorius has a facility. You will be home based, with regular European travel (about 25%).

What you will accomplish together with us

• Assisting customers in solving business related problems using advanced data analysis and data driven technologies

• Lead / suppor implementation of advanced analytics in industry

• Training customers on the use of our software

• Supporting Sartorius sales (pre/post stages) and marketing functions as a subject matter expert

• Performing regular follow up with customers to track satisfaction, secure project momentum and discover additional opportunities

• Generating thought leadership in the interface between industry, data analytics and Bioprocessing, output as case stories, conference presentations, etc

• Developing and cultivating strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders

What will convince us

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, life sciences, informatics, etc.) or equivalent; master’s degree preferred

• Minimum two years’ work experience within Biopharma or Pharma

• Minimum two years’ working knowledge of applied data science such as MVDA, DOE, MSPC, PAT, QbD, Model Predictive Control (MPC), AI/Machine learning

• Bioprocess knowledge

• Familiarity with Umetrics Suite of Data Analytics Solutions a plus

• Working knowledge of Python scripting and/or other scripting preferred

• Working knowledge of manufacturing data and development data preferred

• Teaching, consulting and project management experience a plus

• Excellent communications and presentation skills are preferred

• European Language preferred and fluency in English is required

• Comfortable working independently

• Comfortable working from home office, willingness to travel (~25%)
