The Covid-19 Vaccine LSP Manager is part of the Global Covid 19 Logistics Delivery Operations team. This team is responsible for the end-to-end service and cost of the Intercompany Operations logistics network supporting the storage, shipping and transport of raw materials, packaging supplies and finished goods for the Comirnaty Business Unit.


This position is located in Hermalle-sous-Argenteau (Liège). As LSP Manager you will be the liaison between the Pfizer Vx LSP (Kuehne + Nagel warehouse, Liège), the appointed carriers / freight forwarders, the Covid 19 manufacturing plants and the Covid 19 Vaccine Pfizer functions. Through coordination and by means of performance reporting and business review meetings you will ensure the LSP works according to the GDP / GMP (Good Distribution Practices / Good Manufacturing Practices) and Pfizer quality standards and are aligned with the contractual performance agreements. You will also have a heavy focus on continuous improvement to further strengthen the third party logistic centre performance to meet the C19 vaccine demand.

This is an individual contributor role.

Location: The Pfizer offices are based in Zaventem (Belgium), however, this position is based full-time in Hermalle-sous-Argenteau (Liège, Belgium). Please note that you will spend at least 4 days physically present in this location.

Working hours: flexibility is a must.

Main responsibilities

  • Day-to-day LSP Follow up (40 %)
    • Ensure that the pick, pack and ship processes are executed according to the set KPIs & SOPs. High focus on timely shipment execution
  • Operational Excellence and project support (40 %)
    • Risk management and application of OpEx and Zero Defect methodology
    • Daily whiteboard meetings (between LSP and Pfizer functions)
    • Provide support for all warehouse related projects
    • Lead & document continuous improvement projects
  • Monthly / Quarterly review meetings and Performance monitoring (10 %)
    • Conduct monthly business review meetings with the LSP. Support the provider business meetings on a quarterly base to review performance
    • Ensure timely LSP metrics reporting and follow up
  • LSP Budget follow up (10 %)
    • LSP budget management and cost analysis
    • Oversight of packaging materials procurement for LSP operations

* Education: University degree or equivalent through experience

* Experience: 5-7 year experience and background in pharma GMP/GDP warehouse environment. Experience in Temperature control logistics, Project management and Budget management

* Broad PC skills are essential. MS office Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word are mandatory. SAP Warehouse management and sales order management

* Languages: Strong verbal and written skills in French (mandatory) and English. Dutch is a plus

* Excellent communication skills including cross-cultural communication skills

Full time permanent contract.
