Commissioning Engineer For Stage Automation Control / C-A-T

Introduction

Waagner-Biro Luxembourg Stage Systems S.A. is part of the Waagner-Biro Stage Systems Group, one of the world's largest suppliers of stage technology, with headquarters in Austria. As one of the global market leaders, the company develops and installs stage technology systems for opera houses, theatres, music halls, multi-purpose halls, and cruise ships. The main focus at the Luxembourg location in Rodange is developing the safety-related control system for the stage machinery "Computer-Aided Theatre" (C⋅A⋅T), which uses state-of-the-art technology to control the upper stage and lower stage machinery in more than 170 venues worldwide.

Task description

Join our multi-national setup & commissioning teams working in theatres, opera houses, and cruise ships worldwide, currently focusing on Europe and Asia.Independently perform configuration, commissioning, acceptance testing, and training of our C⋅A⋅T stage control systems that control entertainment power flying systems and stage machinery, including lifts, turntables, stage wagons, and other movables on stage.

Our requirements

You can read and understand electrical circuit diagrams
Detecting and solving problems in an electrical circuit is nothing special for you
You have at least the necessary I.T. skills, like using the Microsoft Office tools
You can maintain your own and others safety in construction environments
First experience in commercial project management
Target orientated working method and cost management
Strong communication skills and teamwork
A high degree of self-motivation and hands-on mentality.
Willingness for international travelling is mandatory.
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Knowledge of French and/or German is an asset
European working permission is mandatory
Programming knowledge of PLC systems, ANSI C, JavaScript or any other
Experience with Linux console
Knowledge of functional safety standards
Detail knowledge of servo motor applications
