SGS Life Sciences carries out all type of services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, from coordination and running of clinical trials with new molecules or techniques on human beings, to support and consultancy on post marketing registration activities. SGS Life Sciences has also expertise in the quality control of pharmaceuticals.

At our Clinical Pharmacology Unit, located at University Hospital Antwerp (UZA), we are currently looking for a Clinical Trial Assistant. 

Job Description

Your main responsibility is to provide administrative support for clinical studies, executed by the Clinical Pharmacology Unit Antwerp. As a Clinical Trial Assistant, you will administer, maintain and coordinate the logistical aspects of clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practice and relevant SOPs.
Your tasks:

1. Administrative tasks within the framework of a project 

  • Support the clinical trial project team with tasks such as 
  • General logistics support 
  • Administrative support to study specific subject visits, and related documents 
  • Ordering of study related meals 
  • Source documents and Investigator File filing and archiving 
  • Preparation of study specific binders 
  • Support during monitoring visits 
  • Create lab request forms, follow up on lab results 
  • Ensure completion of study specific Case Report Forms (CRF) by 
  • Completing and correcting source data, where applicable 
  • Manual source data entry in paper CRF where applicable
  • Electronic source data-entry in SGS or sponsor Electronic Data Capture systems 
  • Resolving queries 

2. General operational tasks 

  • Attend and contributes to team and staff meetings 
  • Provide on a weekly basis all job-related time and labor progress reports as required
     

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

  • Diploma secretary or medical secretary, or equal experience in medical and/or administrative sector
  • Customer minded
  • Strong communication skills, flexible, quality minded and stress resistant
  • Team player, problem solver, able to guide team within tight deadlines
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and oral)
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word,Excel)
  • Experience is not a must
