Our partner is a leading company consultancy based in Belgium. The company is seeking to recruit an Category Buyer - Indirect for their HQ, located close to Brussels.

The Category Buyer - Indirect will have the following tasks:

• Create cost saving opportunities through competitive bidding, negotiations, etc., while maintaining ethical practices and win-win outcomes for both parties.
• Develop and lead negotiations with local suppliers, set prices and define all terms and conditions
• Develop and improve the respective supplier relationships as well as taking corrective actions on the operational side
• Identify the lowest TCO by taking into account costs, lead-time reductions, flexibility, quality, inventory and strive for continuous improvement by a solid management of the processes
• Maintain and build a solid internal network with the procurement colleagues as well as with internal customers such as Marketing, HR, facilities and utilities management…
• Manage the assigned portfolio from A to Z: Analysis of the market, scope and requirements analysis, RFQ, supplier selection, qualification, contract management…
• Generate regular reports for management and support
