The CAR T Site Manager serves as main point of contact for all Onboarding activities of CAR T treating site (Qualification & Activation). She/he develops the site Onboarding plan, and coordinates Onboarding activities. She/he triages site requests and questions to the appropriate BMS subject matter expert when needed. After the onboarding, the CAR T Site Manager facilitates ongoing support of the CAR T sites and prepares for upcoming activations for new CAR T’s / line extension.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure timely and high-quality execution of CAR T onboarding of the treatment centers and ongoing support
  • Serve as the project manager for the successful onboarding of each treatment center
    • Define treatment center qualification plan; update internal/external stakeholders on progress with project timeline
    • Ensure CAR T dry-run has been completed with designated CAR T care management team
    • Serve as main-point-of-contact for CAR T related inquiries; serve as conduit to the relevant subject matter experts as needed
    • Triage requests and questions to cross-functional roles to ensure customer requests are addressed
    • Coordinate treatment center stakeholders (e.g., clinical staff, supply and distribution, purchasing, operations, department decision makers, apheresis operations manager etc.) in cross-functional approach
    • Monitor progress and alert stakeholders in case of e.g., delayed progress, issues on site and develop plans to resolve issues to minimize delays
    • Create strategic plan that will inform resource management at each treatment center
    • Facilitate timely CAR T site activation; facilitate ongoing support of CAR T site and identify potential opportunities and challenges with capacity, capabilities, structures
  • Ensure qualification criteria are met as signed-off by relevant functional owners: Engage accounts and evaluate qualification needs
  • Ensure key trainings are delivered linked to the onboarding process for the treatment centers:
    • Order flow training for staff involved in CAR T product ordering
    • Patient enrollment/scheduling for staff involved in relevant activities, etc.
    • Oversee ongoing and refresher operational RMP training; coordinate with MSL to ensure product specific RMP training is delivered
  • Ensure that establishment of hospital SOPs for chain of identity processes are verified
  • Lead contracting process during qualification (incl. Master Services Agreement (with or without apheresis agreement for quality), trade policy, CAR T policies, ordering
  • Relationship management: Develop and maintain relationship with customers; drive customer satisfaction
  • Communicate feedback from site qualification to CAR T leadership to refine strategy
    • Referral strategy: Identify local referral patterns in close collaboration with the field team
    • Product promotion: Reinforce product positioning in the certified treatment center (e.g., marketing programs, in-services, info on dosing/admin) in close collaboration with the hematology sales team

Job knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical industry in hematology (preference for people with Hem/Onc expert, esp. in allogeneic transplantation and/or cellular therapies (CAR T)
  • Proven track record in different customer facing role (s), e.g. medical, sales, marketing and/or account mgmt.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to closely work together in a cross-functional team.
  • Highly effective organizer who can prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders with ease
  • Strong communication skills and excellent pro-active thinking.
  • Good understanding of hospital access and account management
  • Initiative, creativity, and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment
  • Self-motivating, entrepreneurial mind who can bring structure and solutions to complex situations
  • Team player, enthusiastic and "can do" person with excellent problem-solving skills & communication skills

  • Bachelor or mater degree in Life sciences and/or Business education
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
